Description
The naveta "Achilleus" (Achilles) of the Botasis Brothers from the island of Spetses, built in 1812.
Navetas were mainly merchant ships, as most ships that were used after necessary adjustments against the Ottoman fleet during the war for Greek independence. They were gradually replaced by Barcos whose rig made handling of sails easier.
